Our funders

Improving health and wellbeing is everyone's business and that's why we work in partnership with a large range of organisations including funders, trusts & foundations, community planning and health partnerships, local businesses and supporters.

Our activities would not be possible without generous funding from the following organisations listed below.

Thank you for making a difference to so many people in rural South Lanarkshire.

Community Led Local Development

Thanks to seed funding from CLLD in 2022, Healthy Valleys was able to commission a feasibility study for Gear Up. The funding also enabled the purchase of our hybrid, mountain, and kids bikes, as well as accessories and a bike trailer.

Energy Saving Trust

Funding from the Energy Saving Trust's e-Bike Grant Fund allowed Healthy Valleys to procure 30 new e-bikes, 5 e-cargo bikes, and 3 adaptive bikes for use in Gear Up and in our Active Travel Community Hubs throughout Clydesdale. The funding also enabled the purchase of tools and accessories, as well as charging points for our E-Bikes.

Scottish Government Rural & Island Communities Ideas into Action

The Scottish Government's Rural & Ideas into Action Fund allowed Healthy Valleys to purchase solar-powered e-bike charging lockers for our Active Travel Community Hubs, and supported the development of the community hub programme.

Smarter Choices Smarter Places Open Fund & Smarter Choices Smarter Places Local Authority Fund

Smarter Choices Smarter Places funds our wonderful staff team.

SSE Sustainable Development Fund

In line with their mission to support communities to achieve sustainability, SSE awarded funding to Healthy Valleys for the installation of renewable energy features at our Gear Up premises, and for the purchase of a new electric van to transport our bikes to users and community hubs.

Spirit of Lanarkshire Wind Energy Co-Operative

Spirit of Lanarkshire Wind Energy Co-operative provided match funding for the installation of solar panels at our Gear Up premises.

South Lanarkshire Council Social Enterprise Grant

South Lanarkshire Council provided funding for the branding of our premises, van, and uniforms through their small enterprise grant.
